What is CWF 23xx? Well, it is an e-fed unlike any other that you will find online. A concept e-fed based in 2326, with a long, rich story that I will detail below.
Before I get to the meat and potatoes and give you that story, however, how about some out of character details. We are a website, forums, and discord based fed running bi weekly shows every other Friday called Evolution. The day that the results are posted for each show, the card for the following will then go up, and roleplaying for that show will then begin leaving Friday to the following Friday at 11:59pm EST to RP for each event. One RP max per character per match, and a 2,500 word cap on each RP.
The following week after roleplaying is over is a “dead” week for RPing, as it’s set out for the match writers and anyone who would like to send in segments for the upcoming show to be able to write them out.
Each roleplay is graded in four categories: spelling and grammar, world building and descriptions, general personal story, and match talk. All categories receive a one through ten grade, and then all grades are averaged together to give the overall score for the roleplay that week. When all roleplays for that match are done for the week, the overall scores for each will be compared and that’s how winners are determined.
There is also incentive for members of the fed to put in show reviews on the forums, as full grade reports for their match’s roleplay will be given out to anyone who reviews the show.
CWF 2326 - Synopsis
A group of modern day CWF legends are plucked out of time and brought three hundred years into the future. This a world ruled by the Amoralists, the future incarnation of today's Spirit Science Research Institute. Our heroes are forced to the Colosseum, in the City of Anthropolis, there to engage in fights of imaginable violence that can only end in surrender, incapacity - or death.
Background
In 2318, the world stood divided into three camps: the Amoralists, the Traditionalists, and the Independents.
The Amoralists - the present-day Spirit Science Research Institute - held a dystopian rule over a third of the world, governing through authoritarian surveillance, occult manipulation, blatant propaganda and terrifying violence. One third was governed by the Traditionalists - those who resisted the Amoralists only by clinging to the most archaic and reactionary parts of their own history. The remainder was home to the Independents, scattered communities and micronations struggling to forge their own path outside of the two main power blocks.
The Amoralists held an event known as the Apotheosis - a spectacle of violence in which condemned prisoners, Amoral loyalists, and fanatical volunteers brutalised one another until one was either forced to surrender, incapacitated, or dead.
That event ended with the Amoralists conducting a blood ritual which detonated an occult weapon of mass destruction. The Amoralists wiped out the Traditionalists, exterminating one third of the world's population in a single night. Audiences around the globe watched as life was extinguished, plant, animal and human alike. Infernal locusts, formed from fire, stripped skin from the bone leaving nothing but ashes in their wake.
Merchandise sales were through the roof.
Eight years later, the territory of the Traditionalists remains uninhabited, a smoking wasteland where once dwelt life. Every so often, pieces of wreckage wash up on the ocean shore, a silent reminder of a history now wiped from the earth.
Now the Amoralists reign supreme. The Independents - those who did not capitulate and go over to the Amoralists after the Apotheosis - remain in remote areas, existing in a half tolerated twilight on the fringes of the Amoral world.
Yet somehow, even in the heartlands of the Amoralists, dissidents remain. Those who refused to give in and bow their heads no matter the cost. Criminals, insurgents, mystics and refusers. All those who found themselves on the wrong side of the rulers and powers.
Each week they are sent to the Colosseum, located in the centre of the City of Anthropolis. Competitors fight to the point of incapacity, surrender, or death. Fighters fall into the following categories:
The Condemned: those incarcerated by the Amoralists. Some are political dissidents from within Amoralist territory. Some are would-be Independents, imprisoned for trying to build a world outside the Amoralists’ control. Some are common criminals, convicted of such sins as altruism and empathy.
The Loyalists: committed Amoralists who have dedicated their lives to bloodshed. Some are trained from birth, their diet, education, exercise all engineered for violence.
The Volunteers: perhaps the most unpredictable. They fight not out of coercion, nor from blind devotion and fanaticism, but from a sheer, unapologetic lust for blood.
This is a world of both highly advanced science and magick of unprecedented power. Algorithms churn out sigils by the second, while genetically engineered phoenixes prowl the skies. Golems and androids fight it out for days on end, feeling neither exhaustion nor pain.
2326 will see the inauguration of the new Archon of the Amoralists - a shadowy figure known only as the Redeemer. To commemorate the event, the Amoralists have announced a new contest:
Infernalia.
Over a period of two months, specially selected fighters will go head to head, vying for supremacy. The only rule is the rule of Amorality: there is no right or wrong. Only power. The winner will be selected for the greatest honour: to conduct the ritual that will inaugurate the Age of the Redeemer.
In preparation for the tournament, a group of dissidents carried out a ritual to summon some of the greatest fighters from the past to fight against the Amoralists. Legends from today's Championship Wrestling Federation have been pulled out of time and brought to 2326, there to fight for their freedom - and their lives.
Post Infernalia:
While the tournament still wages through the Colosseum, AnHellica and the Amoralists are longing for more blood. Infernalia has only paid so many dividends, and with their plan not fully achieved, they’re looking for more. They have sent out minions to scour all of Anthropolis for any one willing to enter the Colosseum. The Last Warrior could be you. Are you willing to enter the Colosseum?
