This isn't the Shane from the main timeline, but rather one from an alternative reality, where Shane began to date Amber Ryan shortly after beginning his association with CWF and staying connected to the company for a longer stretch. This alternate reality was created by an interdimensional being named Sister Horai, who did so as an experiment and later destroyed that reality, leaving Shane and Amber in oblivion. This changed after Sister Horai sensed the summoning ritual, and out of morbid curiosity resurrected Shane to be taken by it, empowering him with a fraction of her own ability to see what chaos might come of it.
